Traveling for… What?: Life Thoughts

Life Thoughts is the section that will tell you a bit on experiences, philosophy, worries and joys. If you ever feel lost, feel uncomprehended, maybe you find a couple of answers or even just a company herein.

I left social media for a couple of months. I remember one of the reasons was because I felt jealous. A friend of mine was traveling to Colombia. I was doing some traveling on my own, to many countries, visiting people I loved. Why was I jealous of him?

As I swipe through my instagram’s feed, I see mostly pictures of known buildings and tags on places. One of the reasons, again, why I stopped posting while traveling. I would like to be thoughtful when I share a story on social media. It is my deepest interest that what I want to communicate is clear and difficult to be misunderstood.

I do not travel to find new emotions. I do not share pictures thinking about the likes.

Yesterday I talked with one of my students about my trip to Egypt. My heart melted when she said she would like to visit Egypt as her dream is to become an archeologist. That is what I travel for. I hope that in my travels I am able to show others the magnificent world we live in. To let Cami and Lulú, Joey and Mateo, see the world with my eyes. Eyes of discovery, of love, not fear.

So traveling for what? I ask. Traveling to share. I answer.
